Workbox Number Tags

AUG 29, 2010

Last year we began using the Sue Patrick’s Workbox System.  It has brought so much more efficiency and organization to our days.  I currently have 3 children using workboxes and just finished creating number tags for them. Here they are for you to download and use as well!  All are PDF files that requires a PDF reader to view.

(The dinosaurs, sea animals, things that go, and horse/dogs are not cartoonish.)

Disney/Pixar Cars (plain)
Disney/Pixar Cars (with quotes)
Disney/Pixar Cars (with vehicle type info)

Dinosaurs

Sea Animals

Last year’s tags included:

Disney & Barbie Princesses

Things That Go

Horses/Dogs

Enjoy! :D

Celebration of the Horse

OCT 25, 2009

Last month, Kaybear was in the Celebration of the Horse parade.  Unfortunately because of the off-and-on again rain, I didn’t go with the little ones. So, hubby took these photos.

That’s my girl on the right holding The Traveling Trainer’s sign. McKenna, her fellow riding lesson partner and friend, is helping her.

Posing with Jeanne.  Jeanie owns Meins, the Appy she is leading here.  Somehow this woman is gifted at winning raffles.  She won 2… two Appys in a raffle contest by the Appaloosa Museum.  I need her to buy ME some raffle tickets next year!

Hi, there, Meins, cutie!  You’re one good lookin’ boy!

Parade getting ready

Ann-Marie and Denise getting Indigo and Hunter ready for their moment in the spotlight.   Hunter looks ready to GO!

There were all sorts of characters there.  Horses big…

and small…

Parade

I wonder if my landlord would let me have a miniature horse in my backyard?

And of course, there was every horse in between…

Parade

And you have to have your mounted police to lead the parade and keep the ruffians in line. You know how those horse people can get. ;)

It was time to line up and start this show.

Hey, baby!  Don’t they look like they are having a good time?  I think they were jabbering the whole time, though!

Ann-Marie and Denise enjoying being in the parade.  Looks like the boys are enjoying the attention.

Looking good, Ann-Marie and Denise!

I’m looking forward to next year already.  Ann-Marie mentioned the girls would get to ride in the parade next year.  I can’t wait!!

I’m baaack!

AUG 28, 2009

New domain, new design…

I’m still tweaking things to get them exactly like I want and I have some broken links and things to fix, but I figure I can start blogging anyway.  :)   Been a long time and so much has been happening like…

A new baby boy.  9 lbs born at home in July.  I’ll have to write up my birth story soon.  Yep… the midwife made it on time. ;)

Kaybear’s still riding, at a new place (actually, she’s been there for a year now but last time I blogged, she was still at the previous barn).

Strawberry’s is growing and so so smart. She’s eager to learn to read this year and do math like big sister.

Little Lion is still my Mr. Destructo and now 2 years old.  That means bigger destruction!

Hubby is still miraculously employed. Praise God!

And me?  Going crazy trying to keep up with Kaybear, Little Lion from killing himself, Strawberry from being bored, and Little Tiger happy and fed.  :D

Update on Us

JAN 29, 2009

Yeah… it has been a long time, huh?   Where do I begin?

I guess with the reasons I haven’t posted in such a long long (long) time.

I can sum it up in 5 reasons:

1) We’ve been busy!  Incredibly so.  I barely have time to check my email most days.  Between work, homeschool, activities, keeping up with Mr. Destructo (that would be my 1yo son), and work, we sometimes feel like we are running on a treadmill.  Going fast but not really going anywhere.

2) I’ve been feeling ill.  Nothing serious.  Nothing that 9 months wouldn’t cure. ;)

3) My camera is on the blitz.  This makes me incredibly sad.  Photography was the one and only thing I had to myself.  My one relaxing hobby.  And obviously family and friends enjoyed seeing pictures of the kids. But certain family members, not mentioning any names **cough** hubby, oldest daughter **cough**, has dropped my camera and now it takes LOUSY pictures.  *sigh*  And of course, with so much going on this year – needing a new vehicle, paying for a birth, and a possible job relocation – buying a new camera is not very high on the priority list.  :(

4) Right before Thanksgiving, my identity was stolen.  Yeah.  I’ve been online forever and buying online and blogging online, and I had my first (and hopefully last) identity theft.  It took over a month to recover the money stolen but it all ended well.  I have a few suspicions on how this happened but can not pinpoint precisely how they did it.  Needless to say, it was not fun canceling everything they had access to – changing accounts, canceling credit/debit cards, filing a police report, submitting unauthorized purchases disputes, etc.

But it did get me to thinking just how much I share online. Particularly here.  I mean if you dug around, you would know where we live, all of our names, and so on.

5) Plus, this blog has been a mixed bag of sorts.  For example, in the past, my pre/post-partum depression posts have been used against me as a case that I was an unfit mother.  And other posts have caused unwanted… um… discussions… within friends and/or family (is that vague enough? LOL).  (FWIW, I am not opposed to healthy disagreements. It is just when something I say causes another to say or do something like argue, lie, etc.)

Anyway, lately I feel I can not express the things I really want to say sometimes – about our life, our beliefs, our views on current events (and man I have alot to say there!) LOL

So I have been pondering what to do for the last few months.

Do I just “clean” this blog up  – removing all mentions of names, specific places, etc. – and keep blogging here?

Do I have 2 blogs?  One for the “feel good” news (but cleaned up with no specific names, etc.) and one that is anonymous where I can say what I really want?

Do I quit blogging completely?  (but that would suck because this is the one major way friends/family keep up on news with us)

Do I quit this blog and set up an anonymous blog only?

Decisions, decisions…
